Wrapped the mast twice, once before hurricane Hugo and again 3 weeks later after the
hurricane. Ship was out at sea during the hurricane. Wrapped for sandblast and coating,
using 8 mil F/R Shrink Film.

Heat shrink wrap protection can be used for all kinds of objects, even large ships and carriers. This gallery shows the different ways heat shrink wrap has been utilized on large vessels. Pro-Tect Plastics helped protect a US Navy vessel. We wrapped the mast twice: one before a hurricane and again three weeks later for sandblast and coating containment. This valuable military vessel was protected using fire retardant shrink film, heat wrap tape, and shrink wrap guns.
